The Co-op was founded in 1925. Major milestones in our recent development include: |

1989 - purchased a 42% stake in Clona Dairies liquid milk business. Bandon and Lisavaird Co-op’s are the other stakeholders. | |||||||
1992 - purchased Carbery Milk Products from Express Dairy’s, in conjunction with the other west Cork Co-ops. It holds a 17% stake in this business. | |||||||
1995 - entered the pork processing business with the setting up of Staunton Foods as a joint venture. It now owns 100% of this business. | |||||||
2011 - The Co-Op set up a Greenfield dairy farm on 300 acres of land on the outskirts of Bandon town, in conjunction with Teagasc and the other west Cork Co-op’s. Operating through Shinagh Estates, it owns 20% of this business. |
